On foot: - 2 minutes to fresh baked goods and breakfast options - 5 minutes to the ski lift and cross-country trail - 7 minutes to Altglashütten-Falkau train station - 15 minutes to one of the most beautiful bathing lakes in the Black Forest (Windgfällweiher) - Numerous hiking trails (e.g. Zweiseenblick, Feldberg, Herzogenhorn) start right at the house By bike: - Feldberg summit approx. 12 km - Schluchsee-Aha 10 min - Titisee 30 min - Bähnle cycle path via Haslachtal-Lenzkirch 8 km By train or car: - 5–10 min to Schluchsee - 10 min to Titisee - 60 min to Freiburg old town By car: - 3 min to supermarket in Bärental - 10 min to Feldberg (also by bus) - 20 min to Menzenschwand In summer, the location is ideal for hiking, swimming, or cycling – from easy, flat routes around the three lakes to challenging mountain bike tours with over 1,000 meters of elevation towards Zastler and Freiburg. A bike room is available in the garden. In winter, a ski lift is within walking distance. The accommodation is a great base for the Feldberg lifts (about 10 minutes by car) and direct access to the best and highest cross-country trails in the Black Forest/Feldberg area.
